The meaning of this artwork is that the
truth of what has happened in Australia is finally leaking into the ocean, an ocean
of people willing to learn. I have chosen to represent this by writing some of the
lyrics from ‘From Little Things, Big Things Grow’ by Paul Kelly in my polluted river
that is leaking into the ocean. I have also made my paddocks into a patchwork,
like we are putting the land together. This links to the theme ‘From River to Sea’
because I have two rivers running into the sea, one with the pain of the past and
one with the hope of the future.
