(Anna)
My name is Anna and I have been learning the importance of reconciliation in my class. I made this artwork to appreciate and acknowledge the First Nations people. The symbols and the words are things I have ben taught and things that remind me of my culture. I hope to spread awareness about respect that is needed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Hi! My name is Alice and I go to Plunkett St Public School. I have been learning about Reconciliation Week and Learning from Leagacy. I did this artwork with paint pens and it is for all the First Nations Elders to say that they have learned many different ways to care for this land and they MUST have a voice for the future.

My name is Jeff and I am eleven and in Year 6. I am one of the Plunkett St Public Schools’ school captain. My class has been learning about Reconciliation for the Aboriginal People on this land. The words in my artwork are connected to Reconciliation. Green is my favourite colour so I mostly used green. I am very proud of what I have done.

I decided to do my fish to resemble the aboriginal flags’ colours and I feel people should wear it with pride. I was inspired by my classmates to do it in this style. My class, Coraki, and our school have been learning about how imortant reconciliation is. We also learned about how western and first nations people need to work together to heal our country.
